This is a day filled with history, breathtaking scenery, and fascinating stories. Itinerary: Departure from Munich: We’ll begin our day with a convenient pick-up from your hotel in Munich. Relax in the spacious Mercedes minivan, and enjoy the scenic drive through the Bavarian countryside as our professional driver ensures a smooth and safe journey. Stop 1. Walk Along Alpsee Lake: Next, we’ll take a peaceful walk along the shores of Alpsee Lake, nestled at the foot of the castle. The crystal-clear waters and the towering Alps create a stunning backdrop that is perfect for a relaxing stroll and photos. Stop 2. Mary‘s Bridge: We’ll take a short bus ride to Marienbrücke (Mary’s Bridge), a famous bridge offering one of the best panoramic views of Neuschwanstein Castle. From here, you’ll have the opportunity to see the castle in all its glory, perched high above the forested valley. The view from Marienbrücke is truly magical and one of the most iconic sights in all of Germany. Stop 3: Neuschwanstein Castle: Our first major stop will be the world-renowned Neuschwanstein Castle. Upon arrival, we’ll take a scenic walk to the castle’s entrance, enjoying stunning views of the surrounding Alps and Alpsee Lake. You’ll have the chance to marvel at the fairy-tale architecture of the castle, as well as learn the intriguing story of its creator, King Ludwig II. Afterward, we’ll explore the castle’s magnificent rooms, including the Throne Room and King Ludwig’s private chambers. We will visit a castle with an audio-guided official tour. Private tours are not allowed. Stop 4: Linderhof Palace: After Neuschwanstein, we’ll continue our journey about 60 minutes drive to Linderhof Palace, another masterpiece built by King Ludwig II. Unlike Neuschwanstein, Linderhof is an impressive palace, surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens. You’ll get to explore the palace’s interior, designed in the Bavarian Rococo-baroque style, as well as stroll through its park.
